GateKeeper — Privacy Policy

What GateKeeper stores

• Your shop domain and the app session Shopify issues for it.
• The restriction rules you create — states, ZIP codes, product tags, and messages.

What GateKeeper does NOT store

• No customer personal data. Checkout enforcement runs inside Shopify's own infrastructure (Shopify Functions). Customer addresses are evaluated by Shopify on Shopify's servers and never transmitted to, or stored by, GateKeeper.
• No orders, no payment information, no browsing behavior.

Age gate

The optional age-verification popup remembers a visitor's confirmation in the visitor's own browser (localStorage) only. Nothing is sent to GateKeeper's servers.

Data sharing

We share data with no third parties. Rule configuration is stored with our hosting provider solely to run the service.

Data deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes your session immediately. On Shopify's shop/redact notice (48 hours after uninstall) all remaining shop data — rules included — is permanently deleted.

GDPR / CCPA requests

Because we hold no customer personal data, customer data requests and redactions are acknowledged automatically with nothing to produce or delete. For shop-level requests, contact us below.
